Cleaning ship

Preparing for a game launch is quite the process. doing QA on the game itself, making sure all the systems work as intended, preparing marketing material, and planning content than will further enhance the game through updates.

For the past weeks, most of the development time has gone to preparing, improving and quality checking our new upcoming game, Shipload. The game undergoes testing both in simulated environments on Mac & PC, but also real-world testing on Android & iOS devices. To check controls, visuals, music, graphics, transitions and general “feel” of the game.

Most recently, we have been busy with the following:

  • Introducing some “quick tutorials” into some of the more complex scenes in the game.

  • Working out technical difficulties regarding scene-transition, without stopping the music.

  • Graphical bugs and errors, where effects were missing on certain models.

  • New features regarding show/hide backgrounds.

  • Preparing marketing material (images, videos and text).

  • Google Play Store & Apple App Store- fronts.

The target month of publishing, being this month: July. Is still very, very likely.

Talk to you soon!
